Our Story

From a young age, Jerry St. Cloud’s life has been deeply impacted by the arts. After a tragic loss, 9-year-old Jerry found his voice through a variety of artistic endeavors, both as a participant and as a student. He felt himself appreciating the connections he was able to forge with others and the healing he experienced within himself.

Over the years, Jerry came to believe it was important for him to make the creative  experiences that had had such a powerful influence on his own life available to the next generation of youth. Creating those opportunities became his mission.

In 2010, Jerry invited a community of youth to attend a performance of In the Heights at the Boston Opera House. After witnessing the positive impact the outing had on the group, Saint Cloud founded Broadway Experience, a not-for-profit organization committed to a mission of cultivating and stimulating an understanding and appreciation for the performing arts among youth. As the organization’s vision expanded to include the visual and literary arts, Art Inspires Me (AIM) was born.

AIM provides a platform where youth can discover a way to go beyond what may seem limiting to them. By sharing and connecting through writing, music, storytelling, and art, participants find the power within to speak, act, and make change in their community and the world around them. 

Since 2010, we have served over 300 youth representing various communities. We look  forward to sharing their inspirational stories with you and invite you to join us in making an impact on generations to come.
