WRITE IT OUT
Write It Out is a workshop series that uses Social Justice as the foundation for the exploration of the art of writing for the purpose of journalism, creative writing, and storytelling. Youth participating will contribute to the monthly/quarterly digital newsletter, monthly blog, and vlog.

A YEAR IN THE LIFE: The Anthology Project
Youth participating in this year long session are introduced to a diverse canon of poets exposing them to a variety in technique, style, and topic as they create their own poetic voice culminating in the creation of an annual anthology of their work. Youth receive a copy of the anthology.

2024: VISUAL Arts

INTERSECTIONS
Youth participants will connect with the active older adult community to tell their story using a combination of documentary film and journalism to interview, film, and edit their final work. 

WHAT WE DON’T SEE 
Youth participants will capture and curate the moments and individuals in their lives to create a personal narrative using photography which will culminate in a gallery viewing.

HANDS OF CHANGE  
Youth participants will connect with their communities to identify how the arts can impact social justice through the design and installation of murals.
