About

Art Inspires Me (AIM) is a not-for-profit arts organization that connects diverse youth ages 12 to 17 through personal engagement in the performing, visual, and literary arts.

By combining interactive workshops with live cultural events and other arts initiatives, AIM opens new horizons for participants by providing them with opportunities most have never experienced before.

Whether they’re attending a Broadway musical, visiting an artist’s studio, or experiencing a concert or poetry reading, AIM participants learn about the artistic process as they develop an appreciation for—and a sense of belonging in—the world of the arts.

In order to help participants gain as much benefit as possible from their arts experience, AIM focuses on a three-phase experiential approach:
• AIM INSPIRES: Our pre-event workshops instill confidence, build relationships, and educate participants about the experience to come.
• AIM CONNECTS: We accompany participants to a live arts event, be it a Broadway theatrical production, musical performance, art exhibit, or literary presentation.
• AIM EMPOWERS: Our follow-up workshops give participants an opportunity to share their experience, reflect on how it relates to their lives, and how they may build on the experience in the future.

The AIM Ambassador Program strives to empower the next generation of leaders and innovators in the arts through mentorships and leadership development in an individually designed apprenticeship training. Ambassadors explore the best practices in marketing, communications, arts administration, arts management, education, and community outreach to directly impact their communities and global arts initiatives.
